There are 60+ extra-curricular activities on offer including The Duke of Edinburgh's Award Scheme, drama, debating and public speaking are all an integral part of school life with notable successes in local and national competitions.

St Teresa's has an excellent reputation in music and all pupils are encouraged to learn learn at least one instrument. Choirs, ensembles and individuals are entered for competitions and festivals and there is a thriving school choir and orchestra who perform concerts during the school year.

 

 

There are two productions during the school year. At the end of the Autumn Term everyone in Year 7 takes part in the Christmas Production and during the Spring Term there is our whole school production. Individually those interested in drama are encouraged to take the LAMDA examinations.

St Teresa's also enters teams and individuals in local and national debating and public speaking competitions.

A new Performing Arts Theatre Hall and houses the Music and Drama departments and provides opportunities to extend the girls’ theatrical and musical experiences. With two stages, professional lighting and sound equipment and a Music Technology suite, girls benefit from the latest technological developments in the world of the Performing Arts. New Music and Drama suites enhance classroom teaching and individual instrument lessons.

    

 

St Teresa's boasts a recently constructed international size all-weather hockey pitch providing an additional 9 tennis courts in the summer, 5 acre sports field, netball and tennis courts, swimming pool and large sports hall. Hockey, netball and tennis are the main sports in which the school has a fine reputation in the local area but numerous other sporting activities take place such as aerobics, badminton, gymnastics, riding, and squash.

 

During the year there are numerous expeditions and visits. For example, visits abroad and exchanges to support Modern Languages, World Challenge and First Challenge Expeditions, watersports and ski trips. Last year the hockey and netball teams toured Barbados.
